“The Devil Wears Prada”

Did you know the first weekend could make or break the opening of a new film! Well it is! So as the COO of In The Trenches Productions I am going to encourage you through this blog to see certain films that star women over 40 on opening weekend. For more information check out our website http://www.inthetrenchesproductions.com and the “What you can do” page under the Advocacy tab in the navbar and you will see why and how it all works. A feature film with a woman over 40 playing a woman over 40 in a starring role is a rare thing because of the prevalent attitude with the Studio Execs that these movies do not make money. So we need to prove them wrong so it is essential the attendance is high opening weekend. Now don’t get me wrong. Whenever you can get to a film you want to support do it but that first weekend is preferable. Please go see the movies that are currently running in the movie theatres now. (See our Bravos under Advocacy) We are going to do our best to guide you in this grass roots campaign. And please don’t hesitate to contact us with any suggestions. MOVIES OPENING THIS WEEKEND THAT NEEDS SUPPORT. “The Devil Wears Prada” A young woman scores a job working for one of New York City’s biggest magazine editors, Miranda Priestly (Streep).
