Cialas On Line Buy

by Debbie Zipp

Not only is her film “The Hurt Locker” stunning and well deserved of an Oscar here are a few more reasons to root for Kathryn Bigelow at the Oscars or any women behind the camera.

USC Annenberg Study Shows Recent Top Films Lack Females on Screen and Behind Camera
Los Angeles–February 23, 2010 – cialas on line buy.A recent study of the 100 top-grossing films of 2007 by the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism found that females continue to be a large minority both on the screen and behind the camera – cialas on line buy. However, when women are decision-makers behind the scenes, the number of female characters in a film increases.

The research, led by communication professor Stacy L.Smith and her team, showed that only 29.9 percent of the 4,379 speaking characters identified in the films were female, while 83 percent of all directors, writers and producers were male.Smith said Hollywood has been male-dominated for decades, and the recent data show not much has changed. Cialas on line buy: top-100 films were based on cumulative box office revenue as compiled by Nielsen EDI Film Source.

“Our findings show a representational roadblock for females in film,” Smith said.“They do not occupy ‘half of the cinematic sky’ – far from it.There is a dearth of females working in the movie industry no matter which way you look at the data.”

The study showed the number of female actors grows when women have influential roles in the production of a movie as writers, directors and producers.

Smith said the most powerful way to increase the number of female actors may be to increase the number of women who direct or co-direct movies; cialas on line buy.The number of female actors in movies with at least one female director rose from 29.3 percent to 44.6 percent when compared to movies with only a male director – cialas on line buy.She said those findings should be interpreted with caution because only three of the top 100 films in 2007 had a female director, however, a previous study by Smith and her research team on Academy Award-nominated films from 1977 to 2006 in the Best Picture category showed similar results.

“The encouraging finding from this report is that women behind the scenes matter,” Smith said.“The presence of women in these important gate-keeping positions was associated with increases in the number of girls or women on screen. Cialas on line buy: we suspected this would be the case and the data confirmed our expectations.”

Movies with one or more female screenwriters had 34.9 percent female actors (compared to 28.1 percent with only male writers), while movies produced by one or more females had 30.8 percent female actors (26.4 percent with only male producers).

This year-long study was the first in an annual series funded by USC Annenberg to study race and gender in film.

“We’ve made it a priority at USC Annenberg to examine issues related to diversity,” USC Annenberg Dean Ernest J.Wilson III said; cialas on line buy.“It is vital for researchers such as Professor Smith to demonstrate through data what key industries are or aren’t doing well – cialas on line buy. This study illustrates the impact communication scholarship can have on issues of social importance – cialas on line buy.Our hope is that an open dialogue about lack of diversity in cinema will lead to a positive shift in the status quo.”

“These important findings provide valuable insights that we will utilize as we continue to engage content creators to improve gender representation and portrayals,” commented Geena Davis, founder, The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media.

“Future research should explore women’s experiences in film – both on-screen and behind the camera—as well as the relationship between the gender of studio executives and portrayals of character gender in cinematic content,” Smith said.

The complete research report can be found online at annenberg.usc.edu/genderinfilm

Cialis And Purchase

by Cassie Rohn

“We don’t like a rocka bama,” My 5 year old daughter randomly yells out as she is playing a game on the Wii Fit.

“What did you say?” I ask, as her distance run comes to an end.

“The President,” she states, giving me that look that only a little girl going on 16 can give. I could almost here the unstated “Duh!” (I can only imagine how much fun she’ll be when she is a teenager).

After some additional questioning I find out that this comment is the word on the playground at school – cialis and purchase. Cialis and purchase: apparently she and her fellow kindergarteners are not “down with” the current leader of our country.

I am not a “political person,” never have been. I have never really gotten involved in the debates either way. I will say that I come from a conservative background and married into a conservative family as well, but what I am about to state might surprise you: I personally take issue when anyone insults the President of the United States – cialis and purchase. It doesn’t matter who is in the office, Republican, Democrat or otherwise.

Now, I am not picking on my daughter & her tiny friends specifically, but her words reminded me of all the ugly comments that have been made over the past several years regarding Presidents in both parties – cialis and purchase. Cialis and purchase: the bottom line for me is the missing respect for the office itself. Where is the basic respect for this leader who is trying to do a very tough job? This is a job that I, for one, would never covet.

Even if you don’t agree with all of the decisions that are made for our country, would you not be in complete and utter awe if the actual President of the United States paid you a personal visit; perhaps came to your house for dinner? Would you not be awestruck? I know I would be!

Now it is time for me to explain to my dear daughter a little bit about the importance of humility; cialis and purchase. We all have our right to disagree, but we need to maintain a balance between stating opinions and being disrespectful; cialis and purchase. For she is going to grow up to be a very strong woman in both mind and spirit and I know that one day she will expect to be treated with respect by others as well; cialis and purchase. As we all do.

Cialis From Us Pharmacy

by Robin Gorman Newman

What a week this has been.

A true sandwich generation experience in every sense of the word….both positive and challenging…..which I guess is the essence of this time in my life.

Don’t get me wrong.I am immensely grateful on some levels to be here – cialis from us pharmacy.I adore my son and love my senior dad – cialis from us pharmacy.I treasure my time with both of them; cialis from us pharmacy. And, I fully recognize that moments can be fleeting, so I strive to take it all in – cialis from us pharmacy. Cialis from us pharmacy: but, at the same time, it can wear one out. Cialis from us pharmacy: especially a 40 something peri-menopausal mom.

Seth had school break this week, and my 91 year old dad went in for an angiogram. And, I, myself, have this lingering cold and went on antibiotic….since I had a bout with pneumonia back in November.

Other than one scheduled playdate for Seth, we’ve pretty much been winging our plans each day. Cialis from us pharmacy: i’ve taken him to the gym with me and discovered that we can have a good time throwing the 4 lb.medicine ball to each other. He’s actually quite strong and agile, and I love that he loves to exercise and strive for good health – cialis from us pharmacy. Cialis from us pharmacy: yesterday, we spent a record three hours at the gym, and he didn’t want to leave.Part of that time was spent with him perched on one of the Nautilus machines he designated as a fire truck, as he proceeded to save me and others at the gym from pretend fires; cialis from us pharmacy. His imagination never ceases to intrigue me.

Last night for dinner, we baked a surprisingly good homemade pizza from scratch.

And, we’ve done food shopping and other errands, including putting the finishing touches on his upcoming 7th birthday parties in class at Progressive Gymnastics East.

While all this was underway this week, my dad stayed overnight at the hospital, and his cardiologist called me while I was at the gym, as I endeavored to stay as calm as I could…when really I was anything but.My dad years ago had triple bypass and at a later date had stents put in – cialis from us pharmacy. Now it seems that more stents are in order and that he will have to return to the hospital for the procedure; cialis from us pharmacy. The cardiologist is being extra cautious cialis from us pharmacy, given his age, and wants to carefully review the films of his last angiogram three years ago before potentially moving forward. Cialis from us pharmacy: i respect this, though I hate to see my dad have to go back to the hospital again.

I was near tears last night when Seth decided to draw a book that showed grandpa in the hospital. He’s a child who feels deeply – cialis from us pharmacy. He always has.

I spoke to my dad upon his return home, and he sounded worn; cialis from us pharmacy.A night in the hospital can do that to you, but he’s also been through a lot in life in general. And, sometimes I think he feels it’s enough when his body fails him in ways he’s never experienced – cialis from us pharmacy.Aging isn’t easy; cialis from us pharmacy. Cialis from us pharmacy: i wouldn’t say he’s lost his will to live, but he does feel he lacks a quality life. Cialis from us pharmacy: he’s frustrated on a daily basis, and it’s a hard thing to hear.I want better for him.

A mom I know said to me this week that she’s realizing more and more the need not to put off things. She just helped hire an aide for her in-laws and sees them having physical challenges they never used to.

My husband’s best friend’s wife lost her 80 something mother a month ago cialis from us pharmacy, and earlier this week, her brother in his late 50s unexpectedly passed away.Life can be fragile.I’m receiving that message from the universe loud ‘n clear.

I’ve just begun to read Devotion, a new book by Dani Shapiro, and from the book jacket copy alone, I can so relate to the essence of her motivation to write this memoir – cialis from us pharmacy. Cialis from us pharmacy: it says….”In her mid-forties and settled into the responsibilities and routines of adulthood, Dani Shapiro found herself with more questions than answers. Was this all life was — a hodgepodge of errands cialis from us pharmacy, dinner dates, e-mails, meetings, to-do lists? What did it all mean?”

I can relate.

I do know that I need a little break before I reach my breaking point. Cialis from us pharmacy: in April, the next school vacation, I may go away with Seth.Marc, my husband, can’t take time off then due to tax season; cialis from us pharmacy. So, it would be my first time just with Seth away from home; cialis from us pharmacy. It would be fun to go visit a close friend – cialis from us pharmacy.I could use some quality gal pal time cialis from us pharmacy, laughs, heartfelt in-person chats, and a change of atmosphere.

I pray that my dad’s potential stent procedure won’t be during that period.

Cialis Online Order

by Cialis online order: judith Drake

Last Tuesday I turned 68.  But it’s not that I feel guilty about.  It’s this:

Tuesday: Lunch with my Y friends…Ice Cream Pie, dinner with the in-laws…giant Mrs; cialis online order.Fields cookie, forced to take at least 1/3 home.

Wednesday: Lunch with ‘the ladies who lunch’….huge piece of Mud Pie.

Thursday: Lunch with my lovely In The Trenches ladies…sample plate of four different desserts.

Friday: Lunch with a couple from the animal rescue group I work with…brownie sundae.

Saturday: Dinner with hubby and two friends I always have birthday din-dins with…Big Mountain Fudge.

Cake…VERY Big Mountain Fudge Cake.

And this doesn’t include all the food preceding said desserts, or the six, count them, SIX, boxes of candy I received (in various sizes) as gifts!!!!  And while none of this was my fault…I mean, ya gotta have dessert on your birthday dining outs, right??…it does make me wonder if I have perhaps exhibited some characteristics that tell people I like to eat desserts, and that I love chocolate.

Could it be?  Partly my fault???

Nay, nay.  I refuse to believe it.  I was simply allowing my friends to enjoy themselves.  That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.

Cialis Online Ordering

by Debbie Zipp

The love I have for my parents cannot be measured in words. For so many years I wanted to capture their sweet nature, simple honesty and quiet strength on film – cialis online ordering.I also wanted to reflect their remarkable love story.

The time is never right but on this last trip I took my camera determined to find the right moment; cialis online ordering. It was a spontaneous quick grab of the camera with no time to set the lighting and stage appropriately. My parents complained they weren’t dressed up and my mother was worried that she didn’t have make up on but if I didn’t do it then I knew I might never do it.I want to film more moments with my parents but I have such a sense of relief and joy that their beautiful essence is finally on film for me, my children and future generations.

If time is passing and you have aging parents don’t wait – cialis online ordering.Get their spirit on film today. You will be grateful for the keepsake and surprised how deep your love is and what you can still learn from them.

Cialis Purchase Online

by Jan Bina

When it comes to love, relationships and how to feel like a hot tomato who better than a Playgirl magazine editor turned Ordained Minister and wedding officiate to write on these topics?  These are just a few of the intriguing roads traveled by the Reverend Laura Sue Brockway, guest on Tomatoes in the Trenches blog talk radio show of February 10.

The show is archived at  http://www.inthetrenchesproductions.com and at http://www.tomatoesinthetrenches.com.

This is a compelling interview of a fascinating woman who’s been a journalist, an erotica writer, editor in chief of Playgirl, Ordained Interfaith Minister, and wedding officiate.   She is the author of 14 books and her many life experiences have led her to a path of spirituality.

She is the kind of spiritual advisor I’d like to go to.  She has a wonderful sense of humor, is very well read and has a wide knowledge of the spiritual practices of many religions.  On the show she offered many specific and practical tips for renewing and enriching your relationship.   One of my favorite tips:  re-create your wedding vows every year…or month …or day.  She encourages you to put effort into your relationship and if you are ‘stuck’ not to be afraid to ask the universe for guidance.  Tune in for this lively conversation, brimming with excellent advice.

If you would like to know more about Dr.Laura Sue you can find her at  www.lauriesuebrockway.net or if you would like her to officiate at a wedding go to http://www.revlauriesue.com

Cialis Rx

by Debbie Zipp

If you have a child who is on your health care plan and is 19 years or older and is sick, now there is hope.  For the last 3 years for my son and I have been consumed by his illness, seeing 7 doctors, a litany of medical tests, research, research and more research and trying to find a diagnosis.  Once a diagnosis was made then came a litany of treatments.  All the while, as he battled nausea and vomiting 24/7, the loss of 20 lbs and self worth, he had to maintain full time status as a student once he turned 19; cialis rx.Why? If he weren’t a full time student he would immediately be cut off my health insurance plan.Well, in October of 2009, a new law went into effect.I’m here to tell do not fear and if you are in the midst of the struggle of a sick college aged child there is a light and it is called Michele’s Law.http://www.michelleslaw.com

Cialis rx: i don’t regret encouraging my son to fight through how badly he felt and take a full class load online.  But the stress it caused my son and the entire family knowing he had to maintain full time student status was unrelenting and took a toll. Now Michele’s Law did not go into effect until Oct 2009 but if I had known about it at least we could have avoided the stress of this past fall semester; cialis rx.I simply did not know about this law until it was mentioned in my union’s quarterly newsletter.  Why didn’t I know this? It certainly wasn’t publicized well.  I’m sure the insurance companies had something to do with that; cialis rx.Never mind.  I’m screaming it to the world because there is finally some good news from the health care industry even they were FORCED into decent behavior.

Michele’s Law, HB 37, ensures that seriously ill college students can continue to receive health care insurance through their family’s health insurance policy even if they are unable to maintain their full-time student status.

* Michelle’s Law allows full-time college students to take up to 12 months medical leave.
* Michelle’s Law applies to students who are covered under their parent’s health insurance plan.
* “Medical leave” can mean that the student is absent from school or reduces his/her course load to part-time.
* A student’s physician determines the date the medical leave begins.

After my son’s doctor and I filled out fairly simple paperwork my son can now be a part time college student instead of pushing himself beyond his physical capabilities – cialis rx.In the landscape of the Insurance “Cartel”, as I like to call it, there is this one ray of hope …this one law that our representatives came together and passed that protects this one basic human right – cialis rx. Cialis rx: for a little history on this bill go to: http://www.michelleslaw.com/history.php

We need to hold Michele’s Law up as a beacon during this painful health care reform debate. Our representatives threw aside politics cialis rx, self-interest and their own agendas to come to together for the common good, to just do the right thing and pass Michele’s Law.It can be done – cialis rx.They did it with Michele’s Law. Cialis rx: why can’t it be that simple for health care reform? Congressman and Senators need to meet in solidarity to give every American citizen the right to affordable health care. They need to bring the American Insurance Cartel to it’s knees, hold them accountable for their immoral actions and force them to do the right thing as in the case of Michele’s Law.
